Küba: Frank García Hernández ve Yoldaşlarını Serbest Bırakın!

Yıllardır, hatta on yıllar boyunca, ABD makamlarının Küba’ya uyguladığı ablukayı kınadık. 1959-1960’tan beri Washington tarafından Küba’yı izole etmek, istikrarsızlaştırmak ve ona saldırmak için benimsenen çeşitli politika ve önlemleri kınadık ve kınamaya devam ediyoruz. Bizler anti-emperyalistiz ve ikna olmuş enternasyonalistleriz.

Bu nedenle, 11 Temmuz’da Havana’daki bir protesto yürüyüşü sırasında, Marksist Kübalı tarihçi Frank García Hernández, Havana Üniversitesi’nde fizik okuyan genç sosyalist Leonardo Romero Negrín, Tremenda Nota dergisinin yöneticisi Maykel González Vivero ve öğrenci Marcos Antonio Pérez Fernández’in tutuklandığını öğrenmek bizi çok endişelendirdi. Frank García Hernández, Küba solunun tarihini yeniden değerlendirme çalışmalarıyla ve 2019’da Havana’da Troçki üzerine uluslararası bir kongre düzenlemesiyle dünya çapında üne kavuşmuş önemli bir bilim insanıdır.

Frank ve tüm yoldaşlarının koşulsuz serbest bırakılması ve tüm Küba halkının demokratik haklarına saygı gösterilmesi çağrısında bulunuyoruz.

Devrimci Rosa Luxemburg’un 1918’de Rus Devrimi broşüründe belirttiği gibi:

“Sınırsız bir basın özgürlüğü, mutlak bir örgütlenme ve toplanma hakkı olmaksızın, geniş halk kitlelerinin egemenliği kesinlikle düşünülemez”.

Şöyle devam ediyordu Luxemburg:

“Yalnızca hükümetin yandaşları için, yalnızca bir partinin üyeleri için -ne kadar çok olursa olsunlar- geçerli olduğunda özgürlük hiçbir şekilde özgürlük değildir. Özgürlük her zaman ve bilhassa farklı düşünenler için özgürlüktür. Herhangi bir fanatik ‘adalet’ kavramından dolayı değil, siyasi özgürlükte öğretici, sağlıklı ve arındırıcı olan her şey bu temel özelliğe bağlı olduğu ve ‘özgürlük’ özel bir ayrıcalık haline geldiğinde etkinliği ortadan kalktığı için.

Bu dilekçeyi yayınlarken, Frank García Hernández’in 12 Temmuz Pazartesi günü serbest bırakıldığına dair doğrulanmamış haberler duyduk. Bunu duyduğumuza sevindik ve serbest bırakıldığına dair kesin onay bekliyoruz. Şu anda Frank ile birlikte tutuklanan diğer kişiler hakkında hiçbir bilgimiz yok.
